Fifteen-Minute Consultation - Free

It is possible to book a free fifteen-minute consultation at the clinic. These appointments give you the opportunity to discuss your symptoms with a chiropractor who will be able to tell you if it is something they can help you with or not. There is no physical assessment or examination performed during these appointments. You are under no obligation to book an initial consultation.

Initial Consultation (1 hour 15 mins) - £50

During your initial consultation, your chiropractor will take a confidential case history in order to gain an overview of your presenting condition and general health. Your chiropractor will then perform a thorough orthopaedic and neurological examination which will focus on your neuromusculoskeletal system (nerves, muscles and joints). It may also be necessary to examine your cardiovascular, respiratory and/or abdominal systems. You will be provided with a gown to wear during the examination.

The aim of the initial consultation is to ascertain the cause of your condition, and whether a chiropractic treatment programme will be appropriate for you. If so, you will be invited to attend the clinic for your first treatment. If not, your chiropractor will refer you to your GP or relevant specialist. Your diagnosis will be explained, and your chiropractor will be happy to answer any questions you may have. You will be advised whether an X-ray is indicated and why, and also what you can do for pain management.

You will be required to fill in a health questionnaire prior to seeing your chiropractor.

Chriopractic Treatment (30 mins) - £35

Prior to your first treatment, you will be given a report of findings that explains the diagnosis, recommends a treatment programme, and outlines what you can expect from treatment.

Frequency and duration of treatment programmes will vary depending on your specific complaint, and will follow clinical guidelines. Typically, a treatment programme will consist of three phases:

  • Phase 1 : Initial intensive care - pain relief and postural stability
  • Phase 2 : Rehabilitative care - complete healing and strengthening of surrounding muscles
  • Phase 3 : Maintainance care - prevention of recurrences and optimisation of general health

You will be given exercises and stretches to do at home to assist your recovery .

Treatment sessions are for half an hour. If a longer appointment is necessary, there is no extra charge.

X-rays - £50

X-rays are not required for every patient. Should the outcome of your case history and examination indicate the requirement for X-ray, then your chiropractor will refer you to a local clinic to have your X-rays taken.

Your chiropractor will then view and discuss the X-ray with you, and determine the most appropriate treatment programme for you based on the findings.
